So lately I have been thinking a lot about the things I consider higher than myself. The conclusion has been that there's not much I consider higher than me, but I get this nagging feeling there is. I'll make this more specific.
Lately I have been considering that Satan may just be something that is bigger than me. More than that, I think he/it is something that is worth serving, deifying.
As I am finding my way in Satanism, I am finding that my thoughts and beliefs tend to evolve more as I learn more. I know this is not a bad thing, as I am evolving into something/someone better as time progresses. It is also my contention lately that I agree more with Traditional Satanism and not so much LaVey's ideas.
I'm hoping for some feedback.
Hail Satan. SETH!

I have seen and experienced to much to view this sad sack existence as "all there is". There are certainly higher powers though they may not be in forms or in the ways that are limited intellect and imaginations would concieve. Conversely they very well might be the traditional humanoid version of demons and angels that popular myth would tell us of. What recent life experiences have occurred to have you contemplating this?

I can agree with what you said.
There are no real life occurances that have happened lately to make me think this way, other than becoming increasingly deeper in my thinking and rationalizing my beliefs as a Satanist. I suppose reading some philosophy lately has me pondering quite a bit.
I've been reading too that there are Satanists who believe in Satan as a deity. Honestly, I am beginning to come around to that conclusion for myself. No matter what or who it is, we all serve something; even if it is ourselves. And though I have refused to think of Satan as some sort of god figure, or deity, I just think there has to be something to it.
I do understand that I may have reached this conclusion a bit early, but I haven't really decided that is my belief (in concrete) yet. And not fully knowing right now is fine with me. I don't pretend to know a lot, or even to know a lot about Satanism. True Satanism. And I want to learn more and more about Satanism that has been around for so long, not what began in the 60s (even though there may be some kind of connection). It just seems to me that Lavey Satanism is watered down. There seems to be something missing. It seems too commercial and easily consumed by the masses.
I'm also wondering if the Satan that some believe to be a deity, if that is an xian way of seeing him/it. I don't know. But one thing I do know: I will learn. I will keep growing. And one day I will lead people who are in Satanism. I'm a leader.
Hail Satan. SETH!

As long as you keep with that line of thinking, you'll make out well regardless of what truths the end may bring. Strength is always an asset but an open mind is possibly even a greater one. I've altered and finetuned my beliefs over time and will always continue to do so. Never fully believe anyone or anything, always be prepared to alter your views as conditions warrant.

I think lately I am having a problem understanding why Satan has been excluded from so much Satanic thought. Even I, as I have been traveling toward Satan - in my own mind - have seen Satan as more of myself than himself.
In my mind I have been debating more of an intrinsic-type of Satanism; a Satanism that comes solely from within. Surely there is an extrinsic force behind where I'm going. It is not all "me".
